Color-Coded Classes
In my three years of highs school thus far I’ve kept my class subjects organized by color. I have a folder/binder and notebook for each class. I try to let colors loosely follow the color of the textbook but it’s difficult.
Freshman year: French II (Green), Geometry H (White), US History (Blue), Biology (Black), Freshman English (Orange).
Sophomore year: French II (White), Algebra...

Dreamlog 28.1.2010
I haven’t posted a dreamlog in a while. I’ve still been dreaming.
I was in a caged chicken pen-like structure training raptor birds (but they walked on two legs). One got a little wild and injured my leg but I managed to get out of the enclosure. It was in a clearing in woods, deep into the night. Then a person in a stuffed costume (it looked like Hobbes, from the comic Calvin and...

What language do you think in?” is a question sometimes posed to bilinguals. I think that question presupposes a major misconception about the nature of thought. The question, however, is...

Ugh. AP Chem was crazy difficult and meant I didn’t get a straight A this quarter. French was fairly easy but I need to know vocab better. APUSH multiple choice was tricky but my DBQ felt really good. Calc was harder than it should have been. I think my english was good enough to let me keep an A grade (I need at least a 77… but Briggs grades hard on midterms & finals). I am...

My hand slipped and I accidentally jabbed my toothbrush into my gums. It hurt.
Have I mentioned the two or three times when I’ve stabbed my toothbrush, frothing with toothpaste, into my left eye? Yeeowch.

Sigh. Need to work harder. I need to do well on midterms. I need to pay closer attention, absorb more, and spend more time doing what needs to be done. Go go go.

Something interesting: One word for animals/beasts in french is bête. The adjective bête means “stupid” or “silly.” Does this connection affect how francophones see animals? How much of our world view is affected by quirks in our language?
Also: blaaarrgghhh schooollll I’ll see you guys when Spring Break gives me free time.

Some resolutions:
Drink no pop/soda (including ginger ale, oh disaster), going along with this guy.
Curse less.
Read at least 5 books for pleasure (again).
Keep swimming and keep your schedule.
Improve oneself!
